Good Friday is for hiking…at least it used to be back home in Germany. And since I try to bring a few old habits to the island, we sort of went hiking in the sun yesterday as well …
We explored one of the many beautiful National Trust Estates: The Cliveden House and its 376 acres of magnificent formal gardens and parkland near Maidenhead where we also found a cute Easter Egg Trail…
Just seeing it standing on the chalk cliff, we were impressed by the Cliveden House last year cruising past it on a canal boat…
It costs 9 Pounds to get in the Estate, but I was worth it…see yourself:
And another great thing, my favourite riverside bar ‘Boulters Lock Restaurant’ is right nearby. There we watched the sun setting while drinking Pimms…’the British sangria’ ;).
Happy Madlen at Easter!
